Winston Associates worked with Cottonwood Partners to mast plan a 45-acre, 72-unit luxury residential neighborhood along the Provo River.  A unique river corridor preserves riparian habitat and allows access to all homes to the river.  Meticulous attention to detail carries the “touch of the old world” character.  Custom-made fences, water features and site architecture make the community a comfortable and unique neighborhood in the Salt Lake area.

Summit at Brian Head

The core challenge in Brian Head was how to place roads and buildings cost effectively and with small visual impact to the hillside while still creating a series of well connected plazas and gathering spaces. The process began with a simple, but accurate virtual terrain model of the site and its context. Road alignments and building configurations were swiftly incorporated into the terrain model and their visual impacts evaluated instantly. Project approval came swiftly because the virtual model communicated the proposed design very clearly to the Town Council.  In fact,  a variance was granted for an additional 15’ of height for all buildings, solely because the 3D model illustrated the seamless design related to the surrounding landscape.
